Beachridge 7A - Sewer

Jurien Bay, Western Australia · 2025 · Awarded

We were engaged by Direct Contracting to install 330 meters of 150 sewer main in wet water conditions, including complete pressure testing and ovality ball testing. The project was successfully completed within a tight 13-day schedule.

Project planning

The 13-day project plan included site setup, de watering and approvals, followed by phased sewer main installation, testing (ovality and pressure) and final site restoration and handover.

Deep sewer install

The deep sewer installation involved excavating to required depths, safely shoring trenches, installing sewer mains and backfilling to specification while maintaining strict safety and quality standards.

Quality Assurance

Quality assurance was maintained through continuous inspections, adherence to design specifications, material compliance checks, and documented testing of all installed components.

De-watering Solutions

Dewatering was carried out to control groundwater and maintain dry, stable trench conditions.

Challenges

Groundwater Infiltration

Requiring effective dewatering to keep trenches dry.

Tight schedule constraints

Demanding efficient workflow and coordination to meet deadlines.

Deep excavation safety

Including trench stability and shoring under strict OH&S standards.

Utility clashes

Needing accurate service locating and coordination.
