Electrical Infrastructure Install

Perth, Western Australia · 2026 · Sub Contractor

We were engaged by Rewards Investments to deliver electrical infrastructure works to support a planned power upgrade, requiring coordination with a scheduled Western Power isolation. The scope included the installation of 150 metres of underground power conduit and the construction of two electrical pits to facilitate future connections.

Project planning

Planning focused heavily on sequencing works to meet the Western Power isolation schedule, ensuring all excavation, installation.

Problem solving

The presence of existing underground services required careful excavation practices, including hand digging and service locating to prevent damage to live infrastructure.

Documentation

Adjustments were made onsite to maintain progress while ensuring compliance with safety and electrical standards.

Cost control

Consideration was also given to procurement and logistics, as fluctuations in fuel and material costs during the project period had the potential to impact overall delivery and budget.

Challenges

Under Ground Services

The project area contained multiple existing services, requiring detailed locating and careful excavation to avoid damage and delays.

Tight Deadlines

All works had to be completed within a limited window to align with the Western Power isolation, placing pressure on planning, coordination, and execution.

Active Car Park Environment

Working within a live car park required strict traffic management and innovative installation methods.

Rising Fuel & Material Costs

Sudden increases in fuel and material pricing during the project created pressure on the original quotation. This required proactive supplier engagement and efficient resource allocation.
